埼玉県羽生市に拠点を置く日本の伝説的なジャパニーズウイスキーブランド「羽生」は、40年代に自社の連続式蒸留器で製造したグレーンウイスキーとスコットランドから輸入したモルトウイスキーをブレンドして販売していましたが、1980年にポットスチルが導入されると、自社でモルトウイスキーの製造を開始し、2000年まで続けました。
1988年に蒸留され、ホッグスヘッドで熟成された後、コニャック樽で仕上げられ、2010年に瓶詰めされました。

Based in the city of Hanyu in Japan’s Saitama prefecture, the legendary Japanese whisky brand Hanyu sold blends made from grain whisky produced on its own continuous stills and imported malt whisky from Scotland in 40s, But in 1980, with the introduction of pot stills, Hanyu began producing its own malt whisky which continued until 2000.
Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2011.
Originally bottled in a hogshead then matured in American oak puncheon.
